One item at a time.
Nothing goes through in bulk. Every piece is checked by a person, by eye and by hand: stitching, stamps, hardware, the feel of the material, whether the accessories match. It takes time. There is no shortcut.
AUTHENTICITY EDITION
Our stance on authenticity
We do not sell “probably genuine.” When any doubt remains, we treat the item as a fake. That has been the rule at MONOSHARE for 18 years.
Authentication is not glamorous work. For 18 years we have picked up each item, looked at the stitching, read the stamps and weighed the hardware in our hands. We do the same thing every day, with the same care. That is all.
In the world of pre-owned luxury there are many items that might be genuine, or might not. Some fakes are very well made. Some genuine pieces simply lack the evidence. Most of them could be sold, if one wanted to.
We do not sell them. When we are unsure, we always err on the side of not selling. The trust of the next person to hold the item weighs far more than one day’s sales.
Inside the company we call this “grey is black.” The moment an item looks doubtful, it is a fake as far as we are concerned. We never leave that judgement to the customer.

02
Passing a doubtful item as “probably genuine” might raise one day’s sales. We do not do it. One “probably” can undo in a day the trust built over 18 years.
03
There is no magic. The same standard, applied the same way, every day. Doing that for 18 years is our only technique.
The moment we think “this looks doubtful,” it is already black to us.
A MONOSHARE certificate of authenticity is issued only for items that have passed our inspection. The QR code on the certificate always returns to this page. If you have any questions, please contact us below.
